The Launch of KEASS Creative Awards

On 29th of october 2011, KEASS Creative Awards (KCA) Launch Reception was successfully held at East Lake Park of Chengdu. During the Reception, X. Kevin Li, who is the creative director of KEASS creative association, announced the launch of KCA. Wales International Consortium Director Ms Virginia West gave a speech to congratulate the successful launch of KCA and also showed her appreciation and expectations of the creative industries in Chengdu.

Other Distinguished guests attended the Reception: Ms Paula Middleton, the Southwest Director of British Council; Ms Qingyun Ma, Welsh Affairs Officer; Professor Andrea Liggins, the dean of Faculty of Art and Design, Swansea Metropolitan University; and Professor Antony Feeny who from Nordic International Management Institute.

The successful launch of the KCA Wales Creative Education Forum

Congratulations to KCA Wales Creative Education Forum successfully launching in Chengdu on the 29th of october 2011. During the forum, KEASS creative director X. Kevin Li introduced in detail KCA to the audience. The director of Wales International Consortium Ms. Virginia West, Professor Andrea Liggins who is the dean of Faculty of Art and Design, Swansea Metropolitan University, and Welsh Affairs Officer Ms. Qingyun Ma, gave speeches about studying and living in Wales during the forum. During the later interactive section the guests solved students’ doubts about studying abroad and also had a good conversation with them.

KEASS Director X. Kevin Li visited DJCAD again

Keass Creative Association Creative Director X. Kevin Li visited Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) again in October, 2011. During the visit, Kevin met Professor Tom Inns, the Dean of DJCAD. KEASS and DJCAD reached a long-term cooperation agreement in the fields of art and design education, and arts promotion.

KEASS Arts Director Kevin Lee was invited to meet with Mr. Gary Davies, the Directer of External Relations of Welsh Assembly Government, and Ms Virgina West, from Wales International Consortium, in Weleh Assembly Government. They had an in-depth discussion about the launching and the operation of “Keass Creative Awards – Wales Award (KCA – Wales Award)”. This meeting conveys the message that the official launching of the KCA Awards is coming.

KEASS visited Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design

Keass Creative Association Arts Director Kevin Lee was invited to visit Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) from 24th May to 27th May, 2011. During the visit, Kevin and the head officers from DJCAD had an in-depth discussion about the set up and the operation of “Keass Creative Awards – Alumni Award (KCA – Alumni Award)”, and eventually reached a consensus. Kevin also attended the 2011 DJCAD degree show and had in-depth conversation with lecturers and students. In addition, head officers from Keass and DJCAD had exchanged the future cooperation intention.

Artist Xing Xin will attend La Biennale di Venezia 2011

Xing Xin, an artist promoted by Keass Creative Association is invited to present his recent artwork – “Meditation on Floating Ice” in the “Personal Structures” exhibition during La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) 2011.

The La Biennale di Venezia has been one of the most prestigious cultural arts festivals in the world for over a century, and it is also one of the most important art events in Europe. “Personal Structures” exhibition is a part of La Biennale di Venezia 2011. The “Meditation on Floating Ice”, which presented by KEASS artist Xing Xin, can be visited at the 900m2 second floor of Palazzo Bembo Venice from 4 June to 27 November 2011.

Congratulations to the interior design team of KEASS! Their “NCIC Sales Centre” project has won the “Top 10 Show Flat & Sales Office Design” award of the “JINTANG PRIZE – CHINA INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS 2010”. JINTANG Prize is the most authority industry award in the Chinese interior design industry.
